Amber is a film & photography collective, based in Newcastle upon Tyne. SideTV, Side Gallery, Side Cinema and Amber Films are all part of it.

SideTV seasons will change monthly - short & feature length films, documentaries, dramas, talks & animations, works from the archives & new productions. Amber films & programmes will be screened alongside ones by friends old & new and by the new generation of filmmakers gathering around the Amber operation.

Amber's work is rooted in the lives and landscapes of working class and marginalised communities in the North East of England. Side Gallery & Cinema have always placed this in a determinedly internationalist context. SideTV is a new venture and its possibilities will emerge over the next couple of years. They will grow out of a sense of who we are, what we care about and what we enjoy.
